Science is not neutral
The scientific enterprise is built upon the assumption that those carrying it out can be neutral observers of the phenomena found in nature. The fact that science is carried out by human beings means that this assumption must be challenged. Scientific research is subject to the same political, economic and societal pressures that are faced in any area of human endeavour and we at PSI believe this must be acknowledged by both the wider scientific community and the public.
On this site you will find details of PSI’s activities, which includes everything from supporting public campaigns, running events, writing blogs and publishing our upcoming magazine “Science for Progress”, and details of our aims and ethos. We are building a community dedicated to a diverse, inclusive science that works for progress.
